Job Interview

My first American job interview happened in a small town in Missouri three years ago when I applied in a gazette firm. I was so excited that I went to the office thirty minutes early and wore my best interview attire-in red. While waiting, I thought the interviewer would be the strong personality type of woman who is
high strung which had me nervous. But to the contrary, she was friendly and accommodating. She only asked me one very easy question. Yet I trembled during the interview. She told me we were 25 applicants vying for the position so I thought I would never be hired since I was a foreigner. When the interview ended, my interviewer who was after all the owner of the firm told me about the salary rate I would be receiving. So I was overwhelmed it seemed she gave me advance hints already. So I went out of the office very excited and happy that I threw up both my arms.
