One of the historical landmarks. This was the site of Casa Real de Cagayan that was built in 1831. During the Spanish colony this was the house of the Spanish governor-generals. The last governor departed Cagayan around 1898 then was taken over the Aguinaldo Revolutionary Government. It was ripped down and built a new structure known before as Municipal hall and was renamed City hall when Cagayan de Oro became a city in 1950.
