Can you see the nice-looking taxi in this picture? Most of the taxi companies in Cagayan de Oro are using Toyota Altis cars. Each time we went out, we usually ride a taxi because we are living almost 5 kilometers away from the City. We always pick Altis because it’s comfortable and it has a good air-conditioning. Sometimes to our dismay taxi drivers refuse to carry passengers especially if it is not within the city proper. They will not use the taxi meter and instead give you a fixed amount or we call it “pakyaw” which has higher rate than using a regular meter.
