Balut means boiled fertilized egg (a popular Filipino delicacy). A food that is derived from fertile eggs which are incubated for a period of time. This is one of the exotic foods in Philippines . They say that it will make you stronger if you eat balut. Balut has always been the perfect pair for beer. Studies showed that these eggs, indeed one’s energy because of their protein and calories. These eggs are also good sources of vitamin B1 and B2, minerals, niacin and betacarotene. How to eat balut: 1. Crack the shell on the top part of the egg. 2. Put salt and sip the juice. 3. Slowly peel the remaining shell and put vinegar. 3. You may close your eyes while eating the balut. 4. Drink beer or ice cold coke. As they say, once you have tasted it, you can’t stop eating.
