Wordless Wednesday #20
filed in Wordless Wednesday on Sep.18, 2007
This is my piggy bank. I bought this in the Philippines . These are loose change of my hubby. It’s amazing how it mounts up. I saved it because he doesn’t want to carry coins with him. Just in five months, I saved 156 dollars worth of loose change. I guess, time to hit the slot machine. I am rich, he-he.
One hundred fifty and six dollars is already a lot of money in the Philippines. I am thinking to save more again so that I can send money to my family there.

Hey, wanna come do mine now?! Hubby and I have been saving misc. change since before we got married (almost 11 years ago) and we’ve never actually gone though it and counted it. Now it just seems like to big a job to bother! Someday when the girls are a little older and need something to do…

The stacks of coin on the checkered tablecloth makes a nice pattern. Plus you can see how rich you are…

September 19th, 2007 on 12:48 pm
Very cool. I used to do that, until I discovered Coinstar now doesn’t charge a fee if you put it toward a credit on Amazon or Starbucks, etc. So now we go there twice a year, pour the coins in, and rack up dollars to spend on Amazon. Christmas is coming! (And, no, don’t work for any of those companies. Just passing on the info.)
However, it’s great to have the kids learn to count with all that change. I’ll just shut up and leave now!
Happy WW!
